Where We Stand Biblically Camp Layout Directions To Camp
In April 1958, Leonard Felton and five other men knelt and prayed for God’s leading and provision to reach the lost in mid America. That night, plans were initiated, and Mid America Mission was formed. Ministry efforts in the Springfield, Branson, Missouri area, and Harrison Arkansas area was growing rapidly. The Anderson family donated 14 acres of forest land near Green Forest AR., in 1963. MAM began building it’s office on the site and moved the headquarters of MAM from downtown Green Forest to this wooded area 5 miles east of Green Forest in August 1964. After the blessing of God, and considerable growth, the mission began developing the remaining acres into what is now Woodland Acres Bible Camp. The first camp was held in tents on the grounds in 1967. The camp today has 20 buildings and can accommodate up to 150 campers.
Woodland Acres Bible Camp offers a traditional camp setting with 8 air-conditioned and heated bunkhouse type cabins, that sleep 128 campers, for its conventional camping events. There are 4 guest cabins and 3 guest rooms, that sleep 28 guests (4 each), with modern facilities. Also available are 6 full hook-up and 3 elec. & water RV pads - up to 40' . The modern chapel is a great setting for worship in song and in the Word of God. The recently completed gym has a full-size basketball and volleyball court, a full-size AWANA Games circle, a game room, and a snack bar. Of course, what would summer fun be without swimming? Kids of all ages enjoy our 9' deep swimming pool while in season. Good snacks and great food is in store at the Snack Shack and dining hall (after the sound of the bell).
The peace of Woodland Acres Bible Camp allows for quiet reflection into the heart. God has used this facility for over 38 years in the areas of evangelism, Christian growth, and rededication of children, youth, and adults.
Sit and relax, or have your quiet time with the Lord in one of the many quiet places around the camp at the outside chapel in the woods, on one of the rock benches, or on a bench swing scattered around the camp.
